Every dog breed has it’s myths. Greyhounds are no different.
Send us your question’s

Swimming
Can Greyhounds swim? Yes they can. The bigger question is does your Greyhound want to?
Like every other canine, your Greyhound has the ability to swim. If your Greyhound has never been exposed to swimming they may be nervous about trying new thing’s and will look to you for an example. If you are having fun, they will have fun.

Feeding
Do Greyhounds need a special diet?
Unless your greyhound is under veterinary care, the dietary requirements are no different from any other canine.
You will receive a starter kit and advice, but do not hesitate to contact us for more details.

to Sit or Not to Sit?
Greyhounds don’t Sit
Some do and some don’t. It depends on the dog just like any other Canine.
Some sit with feet firmly in front and some sit on one side. It depends on the dog. The physical ability to sit is the same as any other canine.

Lead Training
My Greyhound is large and pulls us over, or my small Greyhound won’t move.
Greyhounds can be excitable and distracted by many things. Your attention to doing something fun can set off boundless energy that needs direction.
Alternatively, new surroundings can be intimidating for some dogs. The dog can plant their feet and refuse to move.
Both cases can be frustrating for both dog and walker. One will pull, the other will refuse to budge. An option to try is looping a long lead under the chest, behind the front legs and back up to make a harness. This does two things. One-To give restraint without any pressure on the neck, and two-give security to the dog and allow direction from the body. The lead handle can be looped over your hand, while also holding the collar gives total control over the dog.
